Montpelier, Vt. – Phil Scott debuted a new 30 second television ad yesterday in which he highlights the values and priorities of his campaign for Governor, stressing his commitment to “make Vermont more affordable, the economy stronger and political campaigns an example for our children.” The ad is the first in a series, expected to air in the three weeks leading up to the August 9thelection.
Scott opens the video by addressing the steady stream of misleading, negative ads from his opponent, noting: “What might pass for business as usual on Wall Street has never been in line with Vermont values.” Scott goes on to say, “While my opponent’s misleading ads are disappointing, Vermonters know the truth.
“I’m the candidate who knows what it’s like to live paycheck-to-paycheck while raising a family and working hard to grow a business and create jobs — right here in Vermont,” Scott continues.
Scott concludes by saying, “If you want to make Vermont more affordable, the economy stronger and political campaigns an example for our children – join us. And we’ll do it the Vermont way.”
