The Air National Guard has reached out for help making its facility compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. After listening to the challenges they were facing to make these upgrades, and learning more about what was required, I led the effort to secure funding that allowed them to complete this project.
VTANG is now accessible to all of our veterans, their employees and visitors. Accessibility, particularly for our military veterans who suffered injuries bravely serving our country and their families, is an issue near and dear to my heart. As you may know, my father was a veteran of World War II and a double amputee. He passed away when I was 11 from complications related to his injuries.
