Open Door Policy

Accessibility to elected officials is unique to Vermont; our small population allows us to interact with each other one-on-one. Since I was first elected Lt. Governor, my door has always been open – literally. I meet with Vermonters every day and, when I’m in the office, provide coffee (at my own expense) to all who come in to the State House office. I am proud of the non-partisan crowd that gathers in my office every day, discussing everything from current issues to weekend plans over a cup of coffee – that’s the Vermont Way.
